Our Story
Three decades of homemade food, honest prices, and a warm welcome. An old-style diner on one side, an eclectic cafe on the other — and a community that feels like family.
Not just a restaurant.
A gathering place.
Since 1992, Main Street Cafe has been the heartbeat of Stittsville. Family owned and operated, we've created a space where everyone belongs — where the food is homemade, the atmosphere is warm, and the service always comes with a smile.
With an old-style diner on one side and an eclectic cafe on the other, we serve everything from legendary Eggs Benny and our famous Deep Fried Cheesecake (in six homemade flavours!) to neighbourhood burgers and Turkey Tacos. The chalkboard says it all: Best Breakfast in Town.

The Years Between
The Beginning
A family opens Main Street Cafe at 1626 Main Street, Stittsville. An old-style diner on one side, an eclectic cafe on the other — homemade food, honest prices, and a warm welcome for everyone who walks through the door.

Word Gets Around
Stittsville locals spread the word. The cafe becomes the go-to morning spot — the Eggs Benny earns its legendary reputation, and the chalkboard starts reading 'Best Breakfast in Town.' Pop Shoppe sodas line the fridge in 8 flavours, from Cotton Candy to Bubble Gum.

A Community Hub
The walls fill with local art. Batman art gets donated by a regular and hung proudly above the cash. Councillor Glen Gower hosts events here. The neighbourhood burger menu launches. Deep Fried Cheesecake becomes a sensation.

30+ Years & #MSCStrong
Three decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Still making everything from scratch. Still the place where first customers of the decade — Rick and Cecile Irene Trudeau — feel right at home. Still getting shoutouts from Gonzo at BOOM 99.7FM.

Every Wall Has a Story
We proudly showcase the work of talented local artists. Every painting, every piece — it's all from people in our community who make Stittsville special.

Debra Hubert
Vibrant works that bring colour and life to our walls.

Sophie Leblond Robert
"Dweller at the Narrow or Straight" — a stunning piece that captures the spirit of community.

Deborah Breen Whiting
"Hamish The Highland Coo" — a beloved favourite among our regulars.

The Batman
Donated by a regular customer and proudly displayed above the cash register, our Batman painting has become one of the most photographed things in the cafe. It's not the art Stittsville deserves — it's the art Stittsville needs.

Where Stittsville Comes Together
Main Street Cafe isn't just where Stittsville eats — it's where Stittsville comes together.
Councillor Glen Gower at MSC
We're proud to host community events like Councillor Glen Gower's “Appreciation Breakfast for Local Rink Operators.” From councillor breakfasts to neighbourhood get-togethers, our doors are always open for the community.

Hand-Drawn Chalkboard Art
Every menu board and seasonal sign at MSC is hand-drawn with care. It's the small details that make a diner feel like home.
First Customers of the Decade
Rick and Cecile Irene Trudeau were our first customers of the decade. That's the kind of loyalty that's built over years of good food and genuine community.
BOOM 99.7FM Shoutout
When Gonzo at BOOM 99.7FM gives you a radio shoutout, you know you're doing something right. We're honoured to be recognized as a Stittsville staple on the airwaves.

What We Stand For
Homemade Everything
From our hollandaise to our daily soups, everything is made from scratch in our kitchen. No shortcuts, no compromises. Even our Deep Fried Cheesecake comes in six homemade flavours.
Community First
We host councillor events, display local art, and celebrate our neighbours. We're not just a restaurant — we're a gathering place where Stittsville comes together.
Generous Portions
We believe in feeding people well. Every plate leaves our kitchen loaded — Turkey Tacos, Blueberry Pie a la mode, the works. You'll never leave hungry.
Real Ingredients
Real maple syrup. Fresh-cracked eggs. Quality meats. Homemade pies. We source thoughtfully and cook with care, the same way we have since 1992.
